Os trabalhos da Jessica Fortner são tão distintos que apenas “ilustrações” seria pouco para defini-los. A canadense resolveu, então, chamá-los carinhosamente de “hand-sculpted illustrations” (“ilustrações esculpidas à mão”). No maior capricho, ela cria os personagens, cenários, fotografa e finaliza digitalmente. Deve dar uma trabalheira, mas certamente não ficariam tão bonitos se tudo não fosse assim detalhadamente aperfeiçoado.

Separei alguns trabalhos legais dela e aproveitei pra mostrar também umas fotos do desenvolvimento dessas belezuras. Confesso que rolou uma pena dos galinhos, mas pode ser que seja uma demonstração de afeto totalmente parcial (favor desconsiderar).

No site e no flickr dela dá pra ver mais zilhões de fotos das composições que a artista sempre mostra de várias maneiras. Acho bem legal como ela expõe o método criativo, dá pra passar algum tempo de olho nos instrumentos que ela usa, na modelagem das esculturas, na evolução das ideias e tudo mais.

The work of Jessica Fortner are so different than just “pictures” would not be enough to define them. The Canadian decided to call them affectionately “Hand-sculpted illustrations”. Very carefully, she creates the characters, the scenarios, takes pictures and makes the post-production digitally. Must be too much work, but certainly would not be so nice if everything was not so thoroughly refined.

I selected some of her cool works and also took the chance to choose some pictures she has on the site, showing the development of her jobs. I confess I was sad because of the little roosters, but perhaps this is a demonstration of affection totally one-sided (please disregard).

On her website and her flickr you can see more photos of the compositions that the artist always shows in many ways. I think it’s pretty cool how she exposes her creative method, we can observe the instruments she uses, the sculptures, the evolution of ideas and everything else.

Todas as ilustrações têm muita personalidade e ela tem essa carinha de very-nice-person. Deve ser legal acompanhar de perto o desenvolvimento das peças!

All the illustrations are so strong which make us wonder if this is the spirit of the artist. She seems to be a very lovely and funny person :)
