I don’t know about you, but I confess I have a crush for vintage things. The classic original stuff that has marked a time and still attracts attention, influence by the strong characteristics and represent the most diverse personalities. Old times when something of quality was produced in a specific context, for certain needs of the time. Each composition shouts History!

Blucher, p. 206). Quanto saudosismo! :)

As proof, we have the huge amount of retro products that has been produced, “unlike the reissues, it’s a current reinterpretation of historical design features. The products resemble their predecessors, but at the same time, its language as a product leaves no doubt that they come from today. In a symbolic way, they are references to past and present. ” Beat Schneider wrote in Design – An Introduction (Ed Blucher, p. 206). Oh, the nostalgia!:)

We could spend hours on an endless chat about aesthetic movements, behaviors, and everything else. A pity, however, that although the proposal might be tempting, our time is short here.

Let’s get right to the point I know you enjoy: illustrations. More specifically, illustrations for children, done from the mid 40′s to the late 70′s. A collaborative group on Flickr, The Retro Kid, proposes a space to unite the various old pictures, whether in commercials, magazines, games, toys and stuff like that, as long as done for children. It has zillions of pages, one interesting composition after another (all my loving for typography).

Cansou do Flickr? Bora pras aventuras no Behance.

Taking a look at our social networks updates is one of my morning habits. While the coffee is almost ready and the sleepiness slowly loses control over me, I realized that there are too many good things happening on Behance and Flickr that should be shown to the world. So I decided to separate and present to you some works that caught my attention among our contacts.

Starting at Flickr, I spend a good time in “Quirinolandia“, designer Renato Quirino’s profile.

Além disso estamos lançando o famosíssimo Kerito remodelado, tentando dar aquele up no carisma do rapaz!
